Abstract :

This study presents an example of approach to assess the reliability of test results
using statistical methods of calculation. The procedure for assessing the reliability of the results of measurements was modeled for geometrical features of bean seeds measured using various instruments (analog caliper, digital caliper and toolmaker’s microscope). It was found that from a practical point of view (separating components of seed mixtures) the results of measurements of geometric features of seeds carried out using calipers (with proper accuracy) can provide sufficient reliability
